Chelan Pool House
A 660 SF pool house is the first structure to be built as past of a new home and operations center for a vineyard in Chelan. The heavy-timber structure, simple roof form and minimal material palette recall agricultural buildings in the area. Oversized sliding doors open up to a view of the lake and a deep porch provides protection from the sun. The pool house is sited as a windbreak on the pool side and has a stone fireplace under a large porch for warmth on cool evenings. Inside, exposed wood trusses, tongue-and-groove wood ceiling and polished concrete floor create a casual but sophisticated space to enjoy wine and the view.
